TWO-STAGE AXIAL AEROFOIL FANS
CFW supplies contra-rotating 2-stage fans with a 6/6 or 9/9 blade combination.
These fans feature:
- Higher pressure development than ordinary axial fans(two-stage fans can develop approximately 2.5 times the pressure of the equivalent single-stage fan)
- Compact and simple installation
- Energy efficiency
- The ability to be economically used as a centrifugal fan replacement.
Two-stage fans have contra-rotating impeller blades. The impellers rotate in two opposite directions and each has its own motor. The airflow swirl created by the first stage is counteracted by the second stage. Because air entering the second stage is pre-swirled in the opposite direction to its rotation, there is a higher relative speed of rotation of the impeller and consequently higher pressure development. Blade pitches are set at different angles in order to achieve the highest efficiency and swirl-free air discharge.
For even higher pressure development, fans can be supplied with additional stages.
