Corrosion-Resistant Fans
Most of CFW’s industrial fans can be manufactured using various grades of stainless steel. These fans are utilised where exhaust gases may be laden with salt, acids and/ or moisture. Corrosion-resistant coatings and liners can also be supplied.
CFW’s facilities include separate mild steel and stainless steel fabrication areas, to prevent cross contamination of the materials.
Fan selection for applications involving corrosive gases can be complicated and depends on the airflow volumes involved, whether local exhaust ventilation is required and many other variables. It is highly recommended that experienced industrial ventilation engineers be consulted in applications involving corrosive gases. CFW also offers scrubbers of various designs to reduce the amount of harmful chemicals in the airstream.
